Social media We are now featuring on the three main social platforms – Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Our Facebook page is just shy of 1,000 ‘likers’ now so you might well be able to tip it over that mile- stone. We are just beginning to build a following on Instagram but could still do with some more ‘likers’ there – it’s almost an instantaneous way to update you with what is happening at Brooklands. Of course all our social media is aimed specifically at you, the membership, so we do like to hear what you are up to as well with your own postings – particularly on our main medium of Facebook.

However, we have made it and the enormous pile of renewals and new memberships has now been brought down to manageable levels again so we should be back to a maximum two-week turn-around or usually quicker. We hope that nothing has got lost in the process but if you have renewed in the last couple of months and haven’t received a new membership card then please get in touch. We thank you for your patience during this period. This brings us round to introducing our new administrator, Jeni Larwood. Jeni joined the BTM team in September and has been busy learning the ropes over the last few weeks. We threw her in at the deep end by kindly letting her take the minutes of the BTM committee meeting just a week after she joined, that gave her a splendid insight into how the machinery of the BTM and Museum works.

Surprisingly she is still with us after that and is looking forward to getting more involved in the day-to-day running of the BTM. I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing her the best of luck. She will be appearing on the Outreach stand when it is at home in the Paddock, so you’ll get a chance to meet her there or just pop in to the office on a Monday or Friday. Yes, that is right, we are now open from Monday to Friday so there is more opportunity for you to get in touch with your

Those who have renewed recently will have seen that the membership cards now include a QR code. If you have a suitable reader app then just point your mobile or tablet at the code and it will take you straight to our website.
