An eclectic mix of cars at Shere (Jason Dodd).

or the fourth consecutive year the Shere Hill Climb organisers put on a seamless event welcoming over 140 vehicle entrants and a team of Brooklands motorcycles. Brooklands Trust Members’ Outreach team hosted a varied line-up of members’ cars which were displayed in front of the familiar green and gold awning of the immaculately presented stand. Member John Dennis arrived in one of the oldest cars on the grid, his 1907 Berliet-Curtiss, which always creates a great attraction for visitors. Alongside was Roddy Garnett’s ‘Frogeye’ Sprite, Richard Wade’s vintage Bentley and a range of other marques.
Each entrant had three runs up Staple Lane, a
road closed to other traffic for the day and converted into a more challenging course by the
