TJM Properties recently completed a full renovation of the Claridge Hotel, which boasts 500 guest rooms that have all been completely remodeled, as well as over 20,000-square feet of newly remodeled meeting space, including the sixth floor Grand Ballroom.


In the heart of Atlantic City’s tourism dis- trict is the premier outlet shopping, Tanger Outlets The Walk. Bass Pro Shops, the famous Outdoor World, is the newest addition to the downtown shopping district, having opened in April. Tanger Outlets - The Walk consist of over 100 tax-free retail stores.


Steel Pier is currently under construction developing a 200-foot high observation wheel that will offer riders sweeping


views of the ocean and Atlantic City sky- line from inside climate-controlled gon- dolas. This $14 million project is sched- uled to open in early 2016.


Atlantic City’s world famous boardwalk, which spans continuously over five miles, has begun work on the inlet sec- tion of the boardwalk to extend into Gardner’s Basin. The expansion and ren- ovation of Gardner’s Basin, a hidden gem in the marina district, is expected to transform it into a world-class working harbor/tourism destination with addition- al restaurants, shops and entertainment.


There also will be reconstruction of the boardwalk from the site of the former Revel casino to Gardner’s Basin, which is favorable for all of the runners and bike riders on the boardwalk each day.


Atlantic City also has a growing arts and culture scene that includes numerous festivals and events during the year that


take advantage of the beach and water- front, such as: big name beach con- certs; the Atlantic City Cider Social; Atlantic City Seafood Festival; Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival; the Insane Inflatable 5k; The Color Run; and the Annual Atlantic City Airshow.


Upgrades also have been made to the Atlantic City Convention Center as well as to Boardwalk Hall.


At the Atlantic City Convention Center, a $1 million wireless and technology upgrade has been completed and a Master Plan has been adopted for long- term capital improvements to the center that will include: a new digital marquee sign on the exterior of the building; new equipment such as tables, staging, light- ing, and recycling equipment; and more.


At Boardwalk Hall there is a new ball- room sound and lighting system, a new roof and new signage and LED boards.
