Yeager goes on to note that Stone Harbor is continuing to build itself into a com- plete year round destination, and more stores and restaurants are staying open based on The Reeds’ occupancy. The Reeds provides information about these restaurants and retailers to planners as they coordinate meetings and event for off-season groups.
“We also help to market events outside the island for guests coming in - like fes- tivals in Cape May or the Wildwoods - with our concierge. It’s great how the communities work together for their guests,” says Yeager.

“The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel is the only oceanfront, AAA Four Diamond Award- winning hotel in Delaware,” says Zerby. “We have a total of 84 rooms and suites, most with ocean and beach views, that offer a combination of Victorian charm and all of the amenities guests expect.”
Boardwalk Plaza Hotel is open year round. “Our property has an on site restaurant, Victoria’s, and a cozy bar (The Plaza Pub) that also are open 365 days a year,” Zerby adds. Victoria’s pro- vides full-menu room service, too.
For groups hosting a meeting at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, they can plan their function in one of numerous spaces that offer a gorgeous oceanic backdrop. “We have beautiful, ocean- front banquet and conference rooms, Kent and Sussex halls, that can be used separately or combined into one larger space,” notes Zerby. “In addition, we have a smaller, more intimate meeting room within The Plaza Cottage.”
