Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission recently released their annual meet- ing review for 2015 and among the highlights were landing two major industry shows: Meeting Professionals International; and TEAMS, which has selected Atlantic City as their 2016 convention host city.
Also in 2015, future hotel room night bookings are projected to be up 34 percent over the previous year, and in the last two years hotel room night bookings have doubled. Also, future convention delegate spending is up 31 percent over 2014 and projected delegate spending is up 70 percent over the past two years.
Jim Wood, president and CEO for Meet AC, stated, “I am very pleased with the accomplishments that Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission have achieved in a short amount of time. The meeting and convention industry is vital and helps support the overall tourism industry in Atlantic City.”
