SWEETWOODS CELEBRATE 20 YEARS
Sweetwoods Golf Club recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, holding a members’ golf day at the venue. Thirty teams played on the day, totalling around 180 players. With family and friends on hand to support, around 300 people enjoyed the event. The golf was accompanied by a barbecue and a live band, with the celebrations continuing into the night. KITTY SECRET GARDEN Skating legend and Olympic Ice Dance Champion Jayne Torvill OBE offi cially opened the fi rst permanent Hello Kitty attraction in Europe at Drusillas Park. The popular Dancing on Ice star skated to fame more than 30 years
ago, alongside professional partner Christopher Dean, and she remains one of the most well-loved and recognisable sports personalities of our time.
Drusillas’ Managing Director Christine Smith commented: “We are absolutely delighted that Jayne agreed to attend our event and perform the offi cial opening of Hello Kitty Secret Garden. It was a real honour to meet her and I know our visitors were as thrilled as we were to have such a popular personality at the park.”

SECRET GARDEN AT SISSINGHURST
The forecast was sunshine with plenty of fundraising as dozens joined weather girl Kaddy Lee-Preston at a Secret Garden event in aid of local charity chYps Children’s Hospice at Home. More than 60 people enjoyed tea and cake with the TV presenter at a picturesque garden in Sissinghurst, owned by the charity’s Director of Fundraising Rachel Holweger.
