DON’T FORGET FATHER’S DAY ON SUNDAY, 15TH JUNE!
Research suggests that when fathers are involved in their children’s learning and activities, they have a signifi cant impact on their wellbeing. Children, whose dads read regularly with them, do better at school – and fathers who value education and get involved in school life can hugely improve their children’s life chances. Fathers’ Story Week runs this
year from 9th to 15th June and is an annual celebration of the power of dads’ reading with their children. Join thousands of schools, nurseries, children’s centres, libraries and other family learning settings across Britain,
to celebrate the fantastic benefi ts of fathers and children reading together.
Author and
children’s laureate, Malorie Blackman, says: “I have seen fi rst hand the joy my daughter experienced sharing books with her dad and then discussing them afterwards. Sharing stories is such a simple but effective way of participating in a common, enjoyable experience.” • Visit

is expanding!
Due to the high demand for places at our current nursery in central Tunbridge Wells, Little Rascals are expanding to open another one just down the road. We set up our fi rst nursery in 2011, as three parents who wanted to provide Tunbridge Wells with an exceptional nursery that we would be happy to send our children to. We are passionate about providing a nurturing environment that enables children to thrive and reach their full potential. Thanks to our passionate team of practitioners we now have a really successful nursery full of happy children! Our current nursery has grown by word of mouth from contented parents and we now have a two-year waiting list – so we
thought it was time to open another nursery. We hope to have the Kent Quality Mark awarded to us in the next few months, and linking in with this, Elizabeth Jarman has recently visited the nursery to help us look at creating “communication friendly spaces”, which have so far gone down very well. Both of our nurseries have large outside areas, and parking for easy drop off and collection of children. We are open all year around from 7.30am until 6.30pm. We accept Free for 2’s funding and the Free Early Educational Entitlement for three-year-olds, as well as childcare vouchers. If you are interested in a nursery place, or you are looking to join our friendly team of practitioners, then please get in touch. Email
enquiries@littlerascals.org.uk or call 01892 544384. • Visit
