DISTRIBUTED WIND

Speaking about the contract with Norvento, ICE Renewables CEO and Chair of Renewable UK’s Small and Medium Wind Strategy Group, Julian Martin said: “Securing this agreement is excellent news for ICE Renewables. It ensures that we are able to offer our clients a leading three blade, 100kW turbine. The nED 100 is ideal for a variety of locations such as factories, farms, shopping centres, tourist and leisure centres, schools, colleges and residential areas. This turbine complements our existing portfolio and enables us to offer even more solutions to our customers”.

EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE Conceived and designed by Spanish manufacturers, Norvento, the nED 100 delivers excellent performance and complies with the same requirements demanded for large wind turbines.

VERSATILITY LINKED TO SAFETY The exclusive variable pitch and speed system on the nED 100 make it possible to reach aerodynamic efficiency in any wind conditions. This maximises the amount of power outputted by the turbine. The nED 100’s multipole permanent-magnet, synchronous generator and the machinery construction allows a mechanical efficiency close to 100 per cent.

Safety is also paramount with the nED 100. The turbine has a triple brake system and continuous monitoring of vibrations and temperatures.

RELIABILITY AND POWER AVAILABILITY

For the consumer, reliability and power availability are two fundamental aspects in the decision to purchase a wind turbine. In order to address these, the nED 100 has been designed with direct drive and without hydraulic systems, in order to avoid the use of a gear box, and minimise the possibility of breakdowns.
