ZONE II NEWS—Rick Yymlatil, DFE, Zone II Director Thanks are definitely in order from all of our

Zone members to the Florida Federation of Fairs for once again providing an outstanding venue for our 3rd combined Federation of Fairs/ Zone 2 meeting. We had a total of 7 Fair mem- bers represented from outside Florida including the Coastal Carolina Fair, Georgia State Fair, The Great Frederick Fair, Mountain State Art & Craft Fair, South Carolina State Fair, State Fair of West Virginia and for the first time, the South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair. We hope everyone had the opportunity to

meet Stanley Gibson, representing the South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair. Stanley’s attendance was made possible by a scholarship provided by the Florida Federation of Fairs. Thanks as well to Nancy Smith of the South Carolina State Fair who submitted the scholarship on behalf of Stanley’s Fair. Nancy also recommended Joye Wood of the Warren County Fair in Royal, Virginia. Unfortunately, Joye was unable to attend. With one of the Zone/Federation scholarships unfulfilled, the Florida

Federation of Fairs made a donation of $1,000 to the Zone. This donation will be used to fund 1 scholarship for a Zone 2 YPI Member to attend our IAFE International Convention later this year. Information on applying for this scholarship will be available shortly. IAFE WEBSITE UPDATE: Watch your email for notification on the rollout of the new and improved
