Temecula Valley Elks Hoop Shoot Winners Compete in District Hoop Shoot Contest
Kids The winners of the Temecula Valley Elks Hoop Shoot Contest advanced
to the District Hoop Shoot Contest held in Corona on Saturday, January 26, 2013, where they competed with winners from eleven other lodges in the Southeast District. At the Dis- trict Level, Temecula had three win- ners:
•Caleb Eastwood – Second Place Winner in the 10-11 year old Boys’ Division. Calib was one basket short of advancing to the Regional Contest in a close contest.
•Ashley Fisher – Second Place Win- ner in the 12-13 year old Girls’ Di- vision
•Grayse Fa’ Asua – First Place Win- ner in the 8-9 year old Girls’ Divi- sion. Grayse will advance to the Regional Contest.
All contestants received an All-
Star basketball and the 1st and 2nd place winners were awarded a tro- phy.
The Regional Contest was held
on February 2nd in Paramount. Grayse Fa’ Asua competed and did well, however she was eliminated at the Regional level by a 9 year old girl from Fullerton, who shot 22 out of 25 baskets.
