Wiens Family Cellars Reserve Zinfandel & Chocolate Dinner Friday, March 8th at 6:00pm is a
new added date for the first Reserve Zinfandel & Chocolate Dinner. Dur- ing dinner four past vintages of Re- serve Zinfandel will be re-released for that night only. Many of these wines have never been released in the tasting room and attendees will have exclusive access to these wines. But this night is not only about the wine, it's about the choco- late food pairings as well. The evening will include serving side by side with each vintage of Reserve Zinfandel a food pairing with a chocolate influence. Check out the menu below.
• 2007 Reserve Zinfandel paired with baby winter lettuces, dried cherries, Amish blue crumbles, cocoa nib and aged Balsamic vinaigrette.
• 2008 Reserve Zinfandel paired with Pasilla and Dutch cocoa crusted Mexican tiger shrimp served atop a caramelized onion rice pilaf Drizzled with California orange marmalade sauce and a micro chive embellish.
• 2009 Reserve Zinfandel paired with a duo of rosemary dusted and roasted breast of chicken topped with mole & petite coffee- bean and chocolate rubbed rack of lamb. Also served with Tahitian vanilla bean and mascarpone mashed Yukon gold potatoes and charred baby carrots.
• 2010 Reserve Zinfandel paired with a dark chocolate cookie and local blueberries.
