The Dripool range of covers is expected to last a minimum of six to ten years subject to use, or in some cases, misuse, by the pool operator.

Ian reports: “We are seeing covers into their 16th and 17th seasons before replacement is required.
“This of course depends on how well the pool operator looks after the cover and vitally, the water chemistry.” At the sharp end of the covers markets, retailers say sales are holding up despite the economic downturn. “It is not diffi cult to sell slatted swimming pool covers,” says
Paul McMichael of Bell Leisure, in West Sussex. “Once you explain the payback benefi ts of solar gain, they practically sell themselves.” Paul says, for Bell Leisure, the Oase slatted cover range is far outstripping the sale of conventional covers.
“Slatted covers are not deemed safety covers in the UK even though they are on in mainland European countries like France,” Paul points out.
