Eastern Conference Chicago Bulls (1st Seed) Vs Indiana Pacers (8th Seed)
Luol Deng a major offensive force for the Chicago Bulls has been spectacular in their series against their first round opponent the Indiana Pacers who has given them fits throughout the series. In all of the games played so far, the Pacers has lead the scor- ing from the beginning of every game till the closing minutes wherein the Chicago Bulls would pick up their intensity and win the game.
In fact most of the scores in the games had been really close in this series. The Indi- ana Pacers finally won a game on Saturday April 23rd 2011. In a tough ongoing series where Deng has had some difficulties he had his best game in Game three of the se- ries where he scored 21 points pulled down six boards and dished out six assists. The Chicago Bulls closed the series on the fifth game sending the Pacers to an early sum- mer break. They will face the Atlanta Hawks in the next round starting on Sunday May 1st 2011.
Philadelphia 76ers (7th Seed) Vs Miami Heat (2nd Seed)
The only other African star (of African Parentage) in the Eastern Conference of the 2011 NBA Playoffs; Andre Iguodala has been rather lackluster in his performance as has his team the Philadelphia 76ers. They struggled mightily against the Miami Heat. The 76ers however finally won a hard fought game in the series on Sunday April 24th 2011 to make it a worthy series.
The Miami heat however eventually eliminated the 76ers in the fifth game of the se- ries. And they will be facing their nemesis the Boston Celtics in the second rounds of the playoffs. The series begins on Sunday May1st 2011
