Editors Note
Globalization is the new word these days that we keep hearing from people around the world. Of course, it means different things to different people just as we are living in a truly diverse planet. On the one hand, many believe it is good since it is lifting many people around the world out of poverty. On the other hand are those who advocate that Globalization is about the rich taking advantage of the poor. In other words, the rich keeps getting richer and the poor getting poorer each and every day.
To a certain extent, this dichotomy has also been characterized of our continent, Af- rica. We can agree to disagree on the merits and demerits of such characterizations. Whatever be the case, a new generation of Africans are rising up to contribute their portion to making Africa stand out as a nation which can rise to the top. We believe that if Africa is to rise up to her potential, all of us must step up our game and contrib- ute to developing our continent.
After South Africa successfully hosted the World Cup, it has now opened the door for Africa to host other world tournaments.
