The meeting in Zurich will also consider the financial statements of WAFU, Activity Re- port of WAFU and proposals for amendment of the WAFU Constitution. 4. Gratitude
The General Assembly noted the hospitability extended to its members while in the Gambia. We there wish to express our gratitude to the following:
1. The President and the Government of The Gambia 2. The Minister of Youth and Sports of The Gambia 3. The Attorney General of The Gambia 4. The President and Executive Committee of The Gambia Football Association.
5. Government/FA Relations
The General Assembly reviewed the existing relations between FAs of Members and their respective Government and thanked Governments in West Africa for the huge support given to football in their respective Countries. Governments were en- couraged to continue to cooperate with their National Football Associations and provide the resources and facilities needed to develop the game in West Africa. Member Associations were advised to employ all measures necessary to ensure a peaceful co-existence with their Governments.
6. Visit of Mr. Mohammed Bin Hammam
The General Assembly noted the attendance of Mr. Mohammed Bin Hammam at the meeting and wishes to thank him for that. The members wish him well in his bid to be- come President of FIFA.
