VM and Display Q&A
What do you think makes the show such a success? It is a show that covers every aspect of visual merchandising and display. For three days visitors can see new products, and discuss projects and ideas without having to spend weeks trying to source what they need – it’s all at the exhibition. Subsequently, as an exhibitor they get to meet all of the retailers, designers and specifiers, whether large or small, whereas otherwise its a constant stream of calls and emails to try and get to talk to potential clients. Also, the show gives visitors and exhibitors alike the opportunity to reaffirm existing client supplier relationships, which is extremely important as this is a small and very competitive industry.
What can we look forward to at the show in 2013 that we haven’t seen before? New for this year is a total rebrand of the exhibition. Over the last few months the show has taken on a whole new look through our website, ecasts and advertising. This will be followed through to the overall look of the show in April. At the exhibition we have introduced a
number of new features. These include a Student Display Competition where windows will be produced live over the
44
three days of the Show – with a placement at Harrods for the lucky winner – as well as a Lighting Feature Area that will guide visitors through the importance of display lighting and how to achieve it. There will also be a Century of Window Display and Visions of the Future, with a showcase of past windows and views from key industry leaders as to how they see visual merchandising and display evolving in the years to come.
How can VM companies get involved with the VM and Display Show? The exhibition is a sell out every year, so if there are any companies wishing to still take space and be a part of the VM and Display Show please contact us as soon as possible on 01945 420 068 or email
enquiries@rvmww.com to discuss availability.
