Amari Plastics, the UK’s leading supplier of materials to the point of sale and graphics market is delighted to announce a new iniative in conjunction with one of its major customers and a leading supplier. The project has been the brainchild of Tony Dike, a senior designer for key accounts at Superior Creative – a leading print and design company in Wiltshire. Tony realised that there was something missing in the way materials, supplied by Amari Plastics, were seen by his end user customers which meant the full potential of the materials was not being realised.

being a paper based board product that is predominantly bought by printers in a thickness range of 6mm to 18mm, the majority of instore applications are for 2 dimensional point of sale and point of purchase displays that have been screen or digitally printed. Tony commented “High street store groups, designers, agencies and even some printers have not been able to see past the fact that it is a paper based product and have assumed that it suffers from the same limitations as traditional paper or card”. Tony and the team at Superior were quick to recognise that Falconboard™ has many advantages over other products that allow it to be printed, cut and 3 dimensionally shaped to enable the end user to utilise the product in much more exciting ways than traditional paper products whilst

having great rigidity and strength without any weight limitations.

Tony stated “The combination of Superior having its own creative design team, Zund flat bed cutter, onsite digital print and the drive and support from the directors to experiment and innovate allowed us to spend time playing with Falconboard™ and see firsthand the versatility of the product”. From this Superior manufactured eye catching, 3 dimensional displays that have the rigidity and strength of timber based products but are easy to handle and transport due to their light weight.

Tony was still concerned that the end user would still not be able to understand the benefits of Falconboard™ without seeing the
