NORWAY
operating both as anchor-handlers and offshore construction vessels. They will have a length of 93.8m and a width of 23.0m. The maximum draught is 8m and depth to main deck is 10.0m. They have a deadweight of 4925tonnes. With a total installed power of 19,500kW,
the bollard pull will be 260tonnes and speed 17knots. These vessels will also be the first with
Ulstein Design's hybrid propulsion system. This allows the craft to switch between diesel mechanical and diesel elect r ic propulsion, and to combine the two in hybrid mode, when needing maximum
pulling power. Fuel is thus saved, and the vessels become more environmentally efficient. Each vessel will receive two main diesel
engines, rated at 4500kW at 750rev/min, and 4320kW at 720rev/min. In addition, there will be a total of five main diesel generators, rated at 2100kW at 1800rev/ min. The vessels will receive a pair of CP
propellers, rated at 8500kW at 135rev/min, connected to twin in/single out reduction gears, with diesel-mechanical PTI of 4500kW at 750rev/min and frequency controlled electrical propulsion motor PTI rated at 4000kW.
Offshore Marin Technology mars.07 16-03-07 10:43 Side 1 There will be two electrically driven
1200kW tunnel thrusters forward and two 1000kW tunnel thrusters af t, plus one swing-up compass thruster with nozzle and CP propeller with a power of 1400kW at 1800rev/min forward. Both vessels will be equipped with Rolls-
Royce's winches, with a big 500tonne drum and two 450tonne drums. The vessels are also built to be prepared for a 250tonne offshore crane and two different kinds of A-f rames. They have DP2 dynamic positioning and an ROV garage. Accommodation is provided for a crew of 68.
