LB: And your most memorable project to date? Ellz:
I was lucky enough to be asked
to work on a special calendar raising money for an HIV awareness campaign. It was very challenging but great fun – and I met a lot of very cool and very driven individuals.
LB: So what do you really, really want? Ellz: The truth is I want to be a world famous photographer. No half measures.
LB: Who is your favourite
photographer? Ellz: It has to be David LaChappelle. His work is just outstanding; quirky and unique. This guy has created some of the most memorable ad campaigns in history and his images appear all the time in the top fashion mags like Vogue and Vanity Fair. I’d like to travel down a similar road one day.
“The truth is I want to be a world famous photographer. No half measures.”
LB: If you could have taken any of the world’s most famous photographs which one would it have been? Ellz: The shot of Michael Jackson on the front cover of Vanity Fair 1989. Everything about the image works – especially as a magazine cover. It was a great pose and superbly lit. I would have been very proud if I had been the photographer.
