Ellen Kennedy (21) lives in Croydon and is studying for a BA (Hons) in Photography at London Metropolitan University.


Litebook: So why photography? EllzCreationz: An obsessive desire to be creative steered me into photography. My sister used to be a model and one day I decided to go out and buy a DSLR so I could shoot my own pictures of her. It was so much fun I started to use the camera for other portrait shots; then some location and scenery photography. I started to learn more about how a camera works and then I lost all interest in the course I was working on. It was then I decided photography was the career for me.

LB: Which photo-disciplines really engage you? Ellz: I’ve studied many different disciplines but I am focused on fashion now. Ordinary studio settings and plain backdrops bore me. I like to concentrate on different location settings which hopefully make my photography more fun, creative and colourful.


LB: Tell us about your studies. Ellz: Well I have just decided to take a year out – but I am studying for a BA (Hons) at London Met University.
