WORLD CLASS EVENT

EC reports on the success of Caffè Culture, which this year hosted a series of world championship finals that attracted hundreds of international visitors to Olympia

The mood was buoyant in the halls of Olympia during the three days of this year's Caffè Culture show, which took place on June 23-25. The atmosphere was terrific - helped along by the sun streaming though the glass roof, the football (screened in one of the venue's cafés and proving an unavoidable diversion for many!) and the regular cheering and applause from the World Barista Championships stage.

"I have always liked this exhibition and this year there was a particularly good atmosphere with the WBC taking place," said Keith Baldwin, managing director, Bravilor Bonamat - who has already booked again for next year. Organiser Upper Street Events told EC that Caffè Culture 2010 did indeed live up to predictions that it would be the "biggest, busiest and best" yet, with attendance figures more than doubling over previous events to see a record 11,363 visitors and over 300 international exhibitors.
