Projects like her latest role in Shaquille O’Neal’s new movie, STEPS, address many of the concerns she has for her community. “There are a whole bunch of people hurting. They are lonely. They are desperate. They have their backs against the wall and just need someone to say I see you,” offers a contemplative Duncan-Smith over coffee. “And if I can do something with my art or with my charity, The Angel in The S.K.Y.E. The Angel in The S.K.Y.E. Network is a not-for-profit organization founded by actress, Eden Duncan-Smith, as a vehicle for her to be a blessing to the community in which she lives. The organization,
whose workers are called Angel Wings, believes in making people smile through random acts of kindness. This year dur- ing the 2015 Christmas Holiday Season, Duncan-Smith partnered with Genera- tionOn and St. Paul Community Baptist Church as a Joy Maker Challenge Ambas- sador to present 100 young boys from the Imagine Me Charter School in East New York with a load of toys for the Holiday season.
