jessupu "One of the things I am most grateful for is my dad. When I was at the end of my rope, and almost the end of my life. He sacrificed so much to give a second chance to live"

TOM RUSCICA CHAIR, MUSIC DEPARTMENT

This last season brought a huge success with the 2015 Fall Tour,

Christmas Celebrations drawing 1000s to campus, and concerts at local churches fulfilling the university’s vision to do what we do “in partnership with the church.” At the heart of Jessup Music there’s a real focus on excelling in reputation, relevance and relationship. The program is designed to offer the best collegiate-level music education

you can get, and to be as relevant and forward-thinking as possible. From vibrant costume choices, atypical repertoire choices and innovative tech, we communicate to the prospective student that you will experience all that traditional music education has to offer, but you’ ll also encounter what’s relevant in the music industry right now. Most of all, there is a strong sense of community that is leaving an impression

with students and others that the Choir and Orchestra are engaging with out on the road. We met one student who came back and asked, ‘you guys seem like a big family; how do you do that?’ It’s a confirmation of who we are and that people see that from the outside.

jessupu "The things I remember most about the Philippines are unpaved roads, living in a concrete house with no roof, and not wearing shoes because I didn't own any shoes. But my parents would treat us by coming home with grapes from the grocery store. People assume that I had nothing, but no, I had everything. We didn't have a single 'thing' but eating grapes with my family were some of the happiest times of my life."
