ALUMNI “IRAN WILL BE A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY.”
Are you shocked? You are not alone. Most people are shocked when I make that statement. I don’t blame them. They have formed their view of Iran based on the information they receive from the secular news sources. As a result, when they think of Iran, they may think: nuclear bomb, threats to “wipe Israel off the map,” and chants of “Death to America.” Knowing what is happening inside Iran, I have a dif- ferent view. That is why I confidently make such a bold statement based on the following three reasons:
1 THE BIBLE SAYS SO
Many Christians know about Jeremiah 3:17 where the Lord promises that He will set His throne in Jerusalem. However, most are not familiar with Jeremiah 49:38 where He declares “I will set my throne in Elam," (today land of Iran). But what does it mean that the Lord will
set His throne in Iran? I believe it means more than millions coming to Christ and having a church on every corner. I live in Dallas, Texas and there are a great number of Christians and many large churches here. However, I do not think the Lord can say that His throne is established in Dallas. I believe that the Lord can say this only when He is worshiped by the nation and obeyed in

every area such as personal lives, families, the marketplace, media, education, art, and government. Yes, that is the future of Iran according to Jeremiah 49:38. The Bible says so and that settles it.
“Operation World Manual” is a well-known and respected missions manual which reviews the condition of every nation in the world. Its latest edition lists Iran as the fastest growing evangelical population in the world with 19.6 percent yearly growth. That means the number of Christians in Iran is doubling almost every four years. In 1979, at the time of the Islamic Rev-
olution, there were less than 500 Muslim Background Believers (MBB’s) in Iran. Today the conservative estimate puts the number around two million. Iran as a nation has rejected Islam. After 35 years of Islamic rule, the people of Iran have concluded that “Islam is not the answer, but the problem.” As a result, Islam is experiencing its greatest defeat in history in Iran right now.
3 OUR NUMBERS CONFIRM IT
flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/2016/01/06/mil... I had dinner with my friend, @JoelCRosenberg last month, this is the article he wrote about it
As a WJU alumnus, God used me to plant six churches among Iranian Muslims in North- ern California. After 9/11 on December 1, 2001, my ministry bought one hour of broad- cast time from a secular satellite TV station to share the love of God with millions of Muslims in the privacy of their home in Iran. From day one, we saw a great response. Over the last 14 years, we have collected the names of over 30,000 people who either prayed with us to receive Christ, or told us they have done so while watching our TV programs. In 2011, we moved to Dallas
to start a 24/7 Satellite TV channel in order to establish His Church while the window of opportunity is open in Iran. I am not a typical tele-evan- gelist and our channel is not a typical western style Christian channel. I am a pastor and a church planter, and our

channel delivers the services of a church to every home. By His grace, we have planted hundreds of underground house churches in over 90 cities in Iran. Our goal is not just conversion but transformation.
As an example, let me share with you the story of Leila. She writes:
The blood pounded so hard in my ears, I could hardly hear my husband of 27 years confirm, “Yes, I’ve taken another wife.” We had three children! And this lady was 20 years younger than me. The law in Iran allows a husband to take four wives without the first wife’s permission. I could do nothing to change my situation.
After that, my husband would come home and say, “I’m going to stay with her tonight.” He had no shame! I badmouthed him every chance I could get. I cursed him for what he did to me and our children.
It was in this deep pain that I started watch- ing your programs. You said that Jesus could give me joy and peace, and so I prayed to receive His salvation. The more I watched, the more I heard you say that I needed to forgive. I thought, “I love this Jesus so much, I have to forgive.” And so I did. I forgave my husband. I forgave the other woman.
My husband noticed my changed attitude. I no longer badmouthed him. I just served him. He could not understand this change and wanted to know what had happened. But it wasn’t for him that I did this; it was for Jesus and it was for me.
Then one day your words on your program struck me like a slap in the face. You said I have to love my enemies. How could I do that? This woman had destroyed my life and stolen my husband. How could I love her?
But God helped me. And as I struggled with this, you helped me. You said, “There is no man in this world who can make you truly happy. Good or bad, your husband is yours in the Lord.” I was not sure I wanted to accept that answer. Then you said, “Jesus is a better husband. He can give you the pure love and attention you need every moment!” I under- stood. A joy came to my heart, and I found a deeper relationship with Jesus.
