3D Print Head Adapter for CNC Machines Owners of Hurco vertical ma- chining centers will have the ability to transform their WinMax part programs to a 3D printed prototype directly on their CNC machine using a spindle-pow- ered wireless accessory. The 3D print head extrudes PLA fi lament and can easily be moved be- tween Hurco machines.

Hybrid Additive/Subtractive Machines DMG Mori is expanding its line of hybrid additive/subtractive machines. Its basic machine is a DMU 65 monoBlock fi ve- axis machine for high-precision milling operations with up to fi ve-axis simultaneous machining. The integrated laser head is equipped with a 2.5-kW diode laser. It is automatically ex- changeable and during the milling operations it is moved com- pletely out of the working room of the machine. The machine is suitable for the complete hybrid production of components as well as for repair work and applying partial or full coatings. The second hybrid machine, Lasertec 4300 3D, will add the possibility of turning operations to laser deposition welding and fi ve-axis milling, so that rotation-symmetric components can now also be produced with the hybrid process. Equipped with a mirrored C-axis workpieces can also be machined on the rear side with the counter-spindle thus enabling in total six- sided complete machining of the fi nished part. DMG Mori
