U.S. Senator Lankford visits Energy Trails volunteers

U.S. Sen. for Oklahoma, James Lankford, spent some time visiting with co-op volunteer linemen who recently returned from an electrifi cation project in Bolivia. Volunteers from Oklahoma and Missouri built powerlines to electrify two remote villages in the Amazonian area of Bolivia. Lankford expressed gratitude to the volunteers and showed support for the cause.

Concern for Community

HAPP Y

Peppers Ranch, located in Cimarron Electric Cooperative territory, became the first foster care community in Oklahoma in early 2009. Each year, members of the Southern Area Instructors Association reach into their own pockets and “pass the hat” for a worthy cause. This year, they were able to present Peppers Ranch with a check for more than $6,000 to help these families create loving homes for neglected children. Their service is a great representation of a time-tested cooperative principle.
