What is the Purpose of the Kay Electric Coop- erative Community Foundation? The purpose of the Kay Electric Cooperative Community Foundation is to accumulate and disburse funds for charitable purposes to individ- uals, families, groups, and organizations located in the service area of KEC. KEC’s service terri- tory includes all or parts of Kay, Osage, Noble, Grant and Garfield Counties in northern Okla- homa.

What is KUP? Program starts June 2015 KUP is the primary funding source for the Kay Electric Community Foundation. It’s also a program that gives members the option to have their monthly bill rounded up to the next high- est dollar. For example, if your bill is $167.55, it would be rounded up to $168.00, with the addi- tional 45 cents going to KUP. The money raised will be used to directly support social, charitable and civic programs in our communities. For ex- ample:

- Support local emergency service providers - Nurture a healthy, independent lifestyle for the elderly

- Provide supervised and safe activities for our children

The amount rounded up is accumulated by KEC and transferred to the Kay Electric Cooperative Community Foundation. Your bill will not be rounded up until June 2015 if you decide not to opt-out.

Do I have to participate in KUP? NO. Every KEC member has a choice not to participate in the KUP program. This notice gives you an opportunity to express a desire not to participate in the KUP Program. Your monthly bill will automatically be rounded up starting June 1, 2015 if KEC has not been notified of you opting out.
