Choctaw Electric Cooperative Special Board of Trustees Meeting • March 3, 2015


The Board of Trustees of Choctaw Electric Cooperative, Inc. met in special session at the CEC headquarters office in Hugo, Oklahoma, Tuesday, March 3, 2015.


CALL TO ORDER


There being a quorum present, Vice- President Danny Antwine called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Mr. Joe Harris delivered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Those Trustees present were:


George Burns, District A Norman Ranger, District F Joe M. Silk, District B Danny Antwine, District G James Woods, District C Mike Brewer, District H Andrea Slaton, District D Marcia Wright, District I Neil Birchfield, District E


A. CEO’s Report


After discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Birchfield, seconded by Mr. Silk, and carried unanimously to schedule the Annual Member Meeting for September


26, 2015. The board discussed the possibility of the meeting being held at the Hugo Rodeo Arena/AgriPlex.


Mr. Harris handed out and explained a budget comparison document. The document compared totals from the Form 7 for December 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.


The board agreed by consensus to have an all employee/board meal at the May regularly scheduled board meeting.


Mr. Harris talked to the board about concerns with the electric bill owed by a large power consumer.


B. Executive Session


A motion was made by Ms. Slaton and seconded by Ms. Wright to go into executive session. The board agreed by consensus to return to regular session.


ADJOURN


There being no further business to come before the board the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

hoctaw Electric Cooperative (CEC)members may submit proposed changes to the CEC bylaws no less than 90 days prior to the CEC Annual Meeting on September 26, 2015.


The CEC bylaws are the rules under which your cooperative operates. These rules govern many aspects of your cooperative business including the election process and the establishment of cooperative voting districts. Information about amendments and changes is found in Article XV of the CEC bylaws.


CEC will publish proposed bylaw changes in the co-op’s monthly


newsletter, Inside Your Co-op, prior to the annual meeting. Proposed bylaw changes will also be viewable on your co-op website at www.choctawelectric.coop, and CEC’s Facebook page.


Members will vote on proposed bylaw amendments at the annual meeting.


Copies of the CEC bylaws are available at your co-op office in Hugo, Idabel, and Antlers, or download a copy at www.choctawelectric.coop. If you have questions about the process of amending your co-op bylaws, please call CEC at 800-780-6486, or 580-326-6486.


Bill Payment Options


There’s more than one way to pay your electric bill


Choctaw Electric Cooperative (CEC) provides several convenient bill payment options and payment plans.


Pay online at www.choctawelectric.coop. Using our SmartHub service portal you can also view your account history, check your account balance, energy usage and more.


Budget Billing. With this option your energy usage is averaged over 12 months, helping you avoid seasonal high bills .


Automatic Payment Plan. Monthly bill payments are automatically withdrawn from your checking, savings, or credit card account.


Automated Pay-By-Phone. Pay using Visa or Mastercard by calling 800-780-6486, ext. 105. Please have your account number handy when you call.


Prepaid Billing. Pay ahead for your electricity and eliminate late penalties and disconnect fees. Requires an energy purchase of $50 to begin.


After Hours Payments. Use the payment drop box at CEC locations in Hugo, Idabel and Antlers, or use SmartHub to pay online.
