Cimarron Electric Cooperative hosted a banquet on March 25th honoring its 2015 Youth Tour finalist and their families. The banquet concluded with the final leg of the competition--a brief interview with a panel of judges who judged the teens on their knowl- edge of rural electric cooperatives, speaking ability, poise, personality and appearance. During the ban- quet, the finalist also competed in a game show type contest where they answered some more questions about Cimarron.

Shortly afterward, the judges made their final deci- sions. Jeff Hyatt, Cimarron Electric’s C.O.O. and Youth Tour Coordinator, announced the co-op’s 2015 Youth Tour winners. The winners are Bradyn Foley, Kaci Pennington and Colton Smith, all from Kingfish- er. They will travel to Washington, DC June 12-18 as members of Oklahoma’s Youth Tour delegation.

Often called the trip of a lifetime, the three high school juniors will explore the nation’s capital on an all expense paid trip. Approximately 1600 students from across the U.S. will gather June 10-18 to learn more about government, electric cooperatives and tour historic sights and museums, including the New- seum, Smithsonian, W.W.II Memorial and Mt. Vernon.
