The Canebrake offers the perfect setting for a weekend date, anniversary or engagement. Blend your visit to the restaurant with a hot stone massage in the spa, or take a deep breath during restorative yoga and enjoy the stress-free environment. “The overall system of health and wellness based in Vedic thought is really what we’re em- bracing here,” Lisa said. “Our intention is to become the premiere Ayurvedic spa and facility in the region within the next two years. We’ll open up a lot of opportunities with our new spa and fi tness facility expansion.” The spa expansion, set to open any day, will provide an additional 9,500 square feet to the existing 10,000-square-foot facility. “It will be a fi tness center and movement room for tai chi, ball room dance, Pilates or other dynamic activities we might not be able to do in the yoga barn because of its cork fl oor,” Sam said. “The room’s mirror and bar will let us put on Barre classes. We’ll have a men’s and women’s locker room with sauna and steam, relaxation room, dedicated housekeeping facil- ity for our staff, and club and tasting room.” With the new facilities offering an endless number of event opportunities, the Canebrake has everything a refi ned adult getaway or busi- ness conference could desire. When you visit, come for the spa and customer service, but cer- tainly stay for the food.
