China Foundry Association Formulates New Standards Ӕ标Ѽ֜Ѫ协造铸֡З
The China Foundry Association has pioneered an
association standards system for China’s foundry indus- try, Measures on China Foundry Association Standard Management, and implemented a series of top-level designs for normalizing association standardization. The measures are the fundamental principle of
association standardization for the CFA, as well as a normative document for formulating and revising the standards.
The standard system is a framework that covers all
aspects, levels and elements of the foundry industry. The framework is designed in three levels, with four
standards for Level 1, 27 standards for Level 2, and about 100 standards for Level 3. They cover all areas of China’s economy including energy, rail transit, auto- mobile, building hardware, petrochemical engineering, power generation and electric power, aeronautics and astronautics, marine equipment, engineering machin- ery, mining and metallurgy and heavy machinery, and municipal castings, as well as industries such as raw and auxiliary materials and technical equipment. By the end of 2016, 26 association standards meeting
market demands had been launched; another 29 are still in formulation. In 2017, China Foundry Association will continue to
blaze new trails and innovate in a pioneering spirit, keep up with the pace of national standardization reform, and strengthen its efforts on research, formulating, and promoting of association standards. Both international and domestic enterprises, experts
and scholars are welcome to participate in the formula- tion and revision of the CFA’s standards. ■

that Jack Yu has been named Chief Representative of Vulcan China & Asia Sales Director. His position will accommodate the growth and increasing marketing demand for Vulcan’s Lost Foam Systems & Equipment line, Investment Casting Systems & Equipment line, Finishing Equipment such as grinding and cutting machines, as well as Foundry-duty Manipulators & Robotics in China.
