art metalcasting facility. According to a report in Louisville Business First, artists
Matt Weir, Tamina Karem and Scott Boyer have leased a space for Falls Art Foundry. Te report says the trio is in the process of making the space suitable for metalcasting. Falls Art would replace Te Bright Foundry, which closed
last spring when founder Jep Bright retired and the facility ceased operations. “When Jep Bright shut down the Bright Foundry, we all saw an opportunity to continue the bronze-casting legacy in Louisville,” Weir said, according to Louisville Business First. Te report says the trio is planning to hold a fundraiser
and looking to raise $350,000 toward the project. Tey hope the lost wax bronze and aluminum sculpture facility will be functional by the middle of the year. According to Louisville Business First, the metalcasters have hired Human Momen- tum to help get the facility off the ground. “We want to be a part of the community and to use
