Lodge Cast Iron Donates to Help Victims of Tennessee Fire 2UJMK铸铁ҷ՚զ田ঈੋ州火灾Ո害ী提供援助
Lodge Cast Iron (South Pittsburg, Tennessee) donated $111,990 to the Dollywood Foundation’s My People Fund. According to a news release, the money was raised from a sale of the limited-edition 2016 Great Smoky Mountains cast iron skillet, with proceeds going to My People Fund that aids people affected by last year’s Tennessee wildfires. The release says the skillets were on sale for $30 each, and half was donated to My People. Lodge annually cre- ates a skillet with a Great Smoky Mountains logo and sells it at its two factory stores. This year, because of the November fire in Gatlinburg, the company also made the skillet available on its website and donate half of the sales directly to the My People Fund. Henry Lodge, CEO, and employee Dick Reeves, who
lost his home to the fire in November, presented the check to David Dotson, who serves as president of the Dollywood Foundation. “We are extremely grateful for the support everyone has
shown for this initiative, and we are humbled to be able to play a small role to help the families who need it most,” the company said in a news release. ■
