Waupaca Recognized by John Deere 彰表՚ҷص૦Ɣ翰ং得获՚ҷ造铸卡٦沃
Waupaca Foundry Inc., a Hitachi Metals group com-
pany, has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2016 in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. Te Partner-level status is Deere’s highest supplier rating. Waupaca was selected for its dedication to providing quality iron castings as well as its commitment to continuous im- provement. Foundry leaders accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on Jan. 11, 2017. Waupaca Foundry’s plants in Waupaca, Marinette and
Tell City provide gray iron and ductile iron castings for Deere & Company including its ag and turf, construction and forestry, and power systems divisions globally. “We are excited to accept this recognition on behalf of
every one of our dedicated employees,” said John Wiesbrock, Waupaca Foundry executive vice president of sales, market- ing and supply chain management. ■

American Castings LLC Receives SQEP Award ת੩ੜ量ઔ商应供पѨ得获՚ҷџઐ限有造铸֡ষ
American Castings LLC. (Pryor, Oklahoma), a supplier of both ductile and gray iron, recently achieved the Caterpillar Inc. Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) Bronze Certifica- tion. American Castings supplies various Caterpillar locations with parts capability ranging in weight from 50-3,000 lbs. Te Caterpillar SQEP program is designed to promote supplier performance excellence in an effort to drive towards a “Zero-Defect” corporate mentality. Suppliers must meet stringent quality requirements in regards to:
parts per million (PPM) reject rate, PPAP performance, shipping performance, key characteristics, and quality management systems. American Castings worked closely with Caterpillar staff to meet the objectives of the program. “Achieving Caterpillar SQEP is an honor and validates our
strong commitment to provide the highest quality castings for our customers,” said Jeff Kotterman, Caterpillar account manager, American Castings. “American Castings continually strives to meet our quality policy of ‘Value, Delivery, Quality, on American Soil.’” Caterpillar (Peoria, Illinois) is a manufacturer and designer of construction and mining equipment, along with engines that run on both diesel or natural gas. ■

With New Name, Keokuk Set to Resume Production у生ו恢并वգ՚ҷ新ҵ用ծذԳ钢铸Ұ卡奥ׁ
Keokuk Steel Castings (Keokuk, Iowa) is set to resume
production. Te new owners, Brad and Annie Mills, closed the purchase of
the dormant facility Nov. 30 and are looking to resume produc- tion in 2017. In July, the Iowa Economic Development Authority Board gave the Mills an incentive package worth over $1.6 mil- lion, while Keokuk pitched in with a $200,000 forgivable loan. 200 jobs are expected to return, and the Mills Group is investing $6 million into the facility
