BRICS Foundry Forum to Be Held in Johannesburg ىՆ荣繁Ў造铸界Ќ进推բҺ
Te 7th BRICS Foundry Forum
will be held on March 12-14 in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is the second forum after the establishment of BRICS Foundry Association and it is also the second time the Forum will be held in South Africa. On Sep. 9-11, 2015, the fifth
BRICS Foundry Forum was suc- cessfully held in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

ciation was discussed and agreed by leaders and delegates of foundry organizations from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. On Sep. 10, the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev participated at the signing ceremony of the constitution, which announced the establishment of BRICS Foundry Association. And the Standing Vice President of China Foundry Associa- tion Mr. Zhang Libo was elected as the first president of BRICS Foundry Association. Te Secretariat is also set up in China Foundry Association, including organization, technology, alliance standards and project devel- opment departments. Te five-year plan (2016-2020) has also been made as the guideline for the cooperation of BRICS foundry industry in market, technology and innovation. Te five BRICS nations cover 29.6% of the world area, and 42.3% of the world population. In 2013, the five countries accounted for 21.3% of the world GDP, and 16% of the world foreign trade volume. Teir contribu- tion to the global economic growth accounted for more than 50% in the last decade. As the world economic integration develops and the BRICS economic cooperation is becoming deep and concrete, the communication in the foundry industry of BRICS na- tions has become more frequent. Till now, BRICS casting production has accounted for more than 60% of the world, playing a more and more important role in the world foundry industry. Since 2011, the BRICS Foundry Forum has been success-
