Lightweight Bomag plate
Bomag’s new BVP 10/30 lightweight compaction plate will be officially launched at the Show. It has a 300mm working
width, weighs 47kg and has a Honda petrol engine, and is designed for small construction and landscaping tasks. The exciter system produces 10kN of centrifugal force at an amplitude of 1.34mm, and the machine has a quoted HAV rating of 2.5m/s2
.
An optional Vulkolan mat is available for use on block paving to minimise the risk of damage and to reduce noise.

Birchwood Price Tools (BPT) will show several LED lighting products, including the Defender DC4000 and DL4000 low energy work lights. The latter is a linkable 2ft task light, while the DC4000 is a contractor’s floor light. Both deliver 4000 lumens and operate from a standard 110V supply. The line-up also includes the Defender LED Luminator, a compact lighting
tower running off 110V, with lamps providing an output of 30,000 lumens. Climate control products on show will include the Rhino TQ3 thermo-quartz heater for
temporary heating and drying paintwork and plaster, and the Air Raid 500 industrial fan. Both are available in 110V or 230V.
Boss additions from WernerCo
WernerCo’s Boss range of working at height solutions has been expanded with the new BS1139:6 compliant Linked Tower Scaffold and Cantilever systems. These utilise standard components to create more complex structures for specialist applications.

Groundhog landmark for Genquip
Genquip reports that this year marks the
30th anniversary of its first Groundhog GP360 welfare unit rolling off the production line, and that it continues to develop the range of mobile and static models to ensure they exceed the requirements of the HSE and CDM standards. On display will be the 2017 GP360 Fusion with 12V technology and several new design characteristics, as well as the GP500 Fusion mobile unit complete with an integral office, which will receive its first public viewing. Also on the stand will be the company’s luxury solar-powered office. Genquip is offering one day’s free CPD-accredited safety and maintenance training for hirers who place an order at the Show.

Kubota will unveil the latest addition to its range of new generation KX mini excavators on its stand at 10am on the first day of the Show. Full details are being kept under wraps until then, but the manufacturer says it incorporates modern styling and improved performance capabilities.
