Manitou’s compact Buggy

Manitou will preview its new MT420H Buggy, a compact telescopic handler that stands just 1.9m tall, is 1.49m wide and has a length of 3.6m. It can lift two tonnes to a maximum height of 4.3m. The cab is taken directly from the MLT 625 model, and a 49hp Kubota engine is incorporated, together with hydrostatic drive that provides four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering. The machine is scheduled for its official launch later this year. Also on the stand will be the compact Gehl AL340 articulated loader with a rated capacity of 854kg, operating weight of 2500kg, and a width of 1065mm. It has a new roll-frame option, combining a folding two-post ROPS with a removable FOPS canopy, allowing the overall machine height to be reduced for restricted access.

AJC gets Smart

SEE US ON STAND D10

Exhibiting under its EasyCabin brand, AJC Trailers will show the new ECOSmart20 Xtra Air mobile welfare unit, which provides canteen facilities for up 12 people, with a separate toilet, drying room and a rest area, as well as an office. A heating system is incorporated that is designed to keep hot water available for up to four hours without having to start the generator, achieved through the use of a Smart Box control panel. The manufacturer will provide details of its new Silent Site, which can be incorporated into the electrical system of a standard welfare or security cabin to enable site managers to switch night-time operation to run from back-up batteries only for up to 12 hours, giving noiseless performance and reducing generator wear.

New Yokota hammer

Yokota UK will launch a new 5kg hammer as an addition to its range of pneumatic tools. This will be shown alongside

existing products, including low-vibration, self-lubricating and anti-freezing hammers, breakers

and rock drills from the Yokota, Toku and Red Rooster ranges. The company will also promote a selection of surface preparation tools from Trelawny, for which it is the UK distributor, such as floor grinders, planers, scabblers and compactors.

Busy Belle

SEE US ON STAND D55

Altrad Belle reports that its technicians are hard at work developing two new product lines that are expected to be completed for launch at the Show. “Every year we choose the exhibition as the ideal place to introduce new equipment for the hire industry,” UK & Eire Sales Manager Bob Williams told EHN. “These latest machines have been designed following demand from hirers.”

54 Fast cover from Zappshelter

The Zappshelter from Paragon Protection Systems is designed to provide rapid cover for temporary and permanent applications. Attaching to common structures such as shipping containers and site cabins, it can

be used to create workshops, welding and painting bays, biomass plants and material storage areas. The company

says hirers are already using the system at their own depots to provide covered work areas for fitters and mechanics, and that it can also be used in conjunction with welfare

cabins and portable toilets to create site compounds.
