Through the EuroGate

The latest products in EuroGate International’s range can enable hirers to target customer across a wide range of markets.

EuroGate International has steadily developed a broad portfolio of products targeted at the hire industry since its formation in 2011, and the latest additions to its line-up will be unveiled at the Show. “The business was founded in The Netherlands by Director, Pieter Jansen, with the original aim of guiding overseas manufacturers through the process of obtaining the necessary CE approvals to enable their products to be sold in Europe,” the company’s UK agent, Steve Hawthornthwaite, told EHN. “This can be very time consuming and the service was particularly appreciated by businesses in the US.

However, many were also interested in having representatives to co-ordinate sales in various countries. Besides the UK, we also have agencies serving France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Norway, and we have established links with several manufacturers whose products we handle.”

One of these is the General Equipment Co, and its new Lighting Tower will be launched on EuroGate’s stand. Made from a resilient reinforced fabric, it is an inflatable product with an integral blower to enable it to be set up in approximately one minute. Once deflated, it packs away into the base of the tower for transport and storage. “Versions with a maximum height of 2.3m, 3.05m and 4.3m are available, and they are designed to give diffused, glare-free illumination indoors or outdoors, from its metal halide lamp. We believe they are ideal for

a wide range of applications, such as in construction, site security, events, accident investigation and emergency work.”

Visitors will also be able to inspect the Rental-Pro post driver, made by Rhino Tool Co. The petrol powered machine has a Honda engine and incorporates a vibration dampening mechanism. It is also claimed to have a heavier-duty anvil compared to some other products, enabling it to drive posts of up to 10cm in diameter, using specially developed adapters. EuroGate offers the tool as a kit, complete with a range of adapters, so that it can be hired to customers across a wide range of markets, including events, landscaping and agriculture.

The new Lighting Tower is designed for quick deployment.

Also on display will be the CTS 12 Rip-R-Stripper, a trolley that can accept popular electric breakers in the 15kg weight class, enabling them to be used for removing materials such as ceramic tiles, hardwood flooring and other surface

coverings commonly encountered in commercial and domestic projects. The product, made by the General Equipment Co, is designed to allow the operator to maintain an upright position for greater comfort and productivity, and reducing the risk of knee and back injuries. A range of 29mm hexagon and 152mm shank tools are also available, including chisels and scraper blades.

Other items on show will include products from TireSocks Inc, which manufactures tyre covers for machines to avoid marking floors. They are made from a ballistic nylon woven fabric and enclose the entire tread area. For tyres of more than 1m in diameter, two layers of material are incorporated for extra resilience. They are designed for quick installation, and a cord sewn into the back helps prevent slippage.

EuroGate International reports that interest continues to grow steadily across its product ranges. “We added a significantly larger central warehouse in The Netherlands last year and demand is such that we may have to open an even bigger one,” said Steve Hawthornthwaite. “We are really looking forward to the Show and, throughout 2017, we aim to fully promote the equipment and really develop our presence within the hire industry.”
