ipe Center and Climate Center has made a number of senior appointments within its London and South East team.

Following the appointment of Brian Smithers as regional sales director earlier in the year, Matt Lee has now also joined the business as regional trading director. With responsibility for Pipe and Climate’s 22-strong network of branches in the region, he will play an instrumental role in guiding the business towards the realisation of ambitious growth and service performance targets. He joins the Wolseley UK business from Grafton Group where, as a founding director of Plumbase Industrial (part of Plumbase), he established himself as a very well- respected and capable sector leader. His career has also included stints in senior positions at George Fischer and BSS.
Meanwhile, Brian Smithers has recently re-joined the business. A mechanical engineer by trade, he started his career with Wolseley on the trade counter at Tottenham and worked his way up to sales director before leaving in 2005 to become managing director of WF Electrical UK and then on to be business development director for Rexel Europe.

Mr Barraclough has a background in electronic engineering, initially completing an apprenticeship and gaining an HNC in Electronic Engineering.

Mr Karpathy has a BSc in Business and Economics from the University of Brasov (Romania) and a Master’s degree in marketing, communication and advertising gained in Budapest, Hungary.

In her new role, Ms Higgs will implement crucial aspects of the company’s growth strategy, including coordinating sales and stocks for the UK and Irish markets, and promoting Seeley International’s innovative, leading evaporative cooler ranges. She joins Seeley International with significant experience of working in the HVAC industry, having previously spent seven and a half years at Daikin Air Conditioning as a consultant sales engineer and area sales manager. Ms Higgs has studied at the University of Wolverhampton, obtaining the Higher Education Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. She also has significant experience in presenting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars to engineers, and will be continuing this activity with Seeley International, which has been accredited for official CIBSE seminars this year.
Based in Hucknall, she started in her new role on 31 October.
