Year of the underdog
T
his year has been nothing if not entertaining, and from politics
through sport, it has certainly been the year of the underdog. Whether that’s a good thing in some cases remains to be seen.
No one expected Leave to win Brexit here in the UK, and no one seriously expected Trump to win in the US. Not many really thought Rosberg would win the Formula One Driver’s Championship over Hamilton, and whoever expected Leicester City to win the Premier League?
The point is, you don’t know what you’re capable of until you put yourself out there and try.
With this in mind, I’m going to segue smoothly into the
ACR News Awards, for which the deadline for entries is fast approaching in the new year.
The ‘usual suspects’ win because they enter - it’s very rare indeed that anyone who doesn’t enter manages to win. We have new categories created specifi cally for readers to win - no matter who you are, so long as you’re in the acr industry, we have a category for you.
