COMPANY FOCUS

new GHP line-up which included the GHP G Power (electricity production) and new chiller units.

2013 New ECOi 3-pipe units are developed to be the best, most efficient solution for commercial buildings. The 6 series, 3-pipe range has a COP of 4.77 at full load, and even more when recovering heat from the building, offering a significantly reduced environmental impact compared to other systems.

2016 Panasonic has launched a new internet- connected control system for its Aquarea H Series heat pumps. This development supports the surge in home technology and the connected home. The Aquarea Smart Cloud enables users to manage and monitor their heating and hot water via any web- enabled device, including Android and iOS applications and Internet browsers.

Panasonic is a world leader in innovation and has filed more than 91,539 patents to improve its customers’ lives. The company is determined to remain at the forefront of its market, and is dedicated to assuring the extremely high quality of its products.

All products must comply with the strictest environmental standards and meet the most avant-garde construction requirements. A wide range of stringent tests ensure all products satisfy strict criteria for mass-manufacturing. These tests include: ■ Long-term durability test – an accelerated test for 10,000 hours of continuous operation is conducted to ensure a high level of durability

■ Operating test in harsh conditions – an operating durability test is conducted in a high- temperature, high humidity test chamber at a temperature of 55ºC, and in a low temperature test chamber at -20ºC.

■ Waterproof test ■ S hock resistance – the company simulates impacts, vibrations and other environmental

conditions that air conditioners might be subjected to during transport.

■ Noise Test - the operating noise of the indoor and outdoor units is measured in an echo-free chamber.

■ EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) test – this determines whether electromagnetic waves emitted during operation are sufficiently low to prevent adverse effects, i.e., electrical noise on signals such as TV and radio broadcasts.

Panasonic aims to be the number one green innovation company in the electronics industry by 2018, centralising all business activities and product development around environmental benefits to ensure this goal.

Where we are today

Panasonic understands that to thrive within the heating and cooling industry and to grow as a global leader, its partnerships are fundamental to the development of new and innovative solutions. In October 2016, Panasonic announced its partnership with Schneider Electric to provide wireless communication between building management and room controller systems. Now, Panasonic’s VRF-based HVAC systems can be linked with Schneider Electric’s building management system to allow building managers to view their core building systems – including HVAC equipment, lighting, security and power – at any time via the same interface. This system has the potential to deliver real- time data to reduce energy consumption and drive savings.

The Panasonic PRO Club is a feature- packed online portal providing Panasonic distributors, installers, engineers and specifiers with a wealth of technical data, software and support tools.

Recent improvements to the website now provides users extra functionality and additional tools, including access to promotions, catalogues, marketing material, news and much more.

Panasonic’s latest Aquarea innovation is its new internet-connected control system for the Aquarea H Series heat pumps. The Aquarea Smart Cloud enables users to manage and monitor their heating and hot water with an easy to use interface. This can be accessed via any web- enabled device, including Android and iOS applications and Internet browsers. The Aquarea Smart Cloud has a simple, intuitive user-friendly interface that enables installers and maintenance operators to control a number of functions of the Aquarea H Generation heat pump. Users can easily adjust the temperature in two different zones and view the current room temperature in that zone. Additionally, it is possible to change the temperature of the hot water supplied by the Aquarea system.

This enables users to eliminate unnecessary heating when a zone is unoccupied and therefore reduce energy consumption.
