The theory of planned behaviour
The theory of planned behaviour was developed in response to the theory of reasoned action, taking into account behaviour, attitude and the control of factors surrounding the behaviour. This theory suggests that if an individual has no control over surrounding factors, they will be unlikely to adopt and maintain a chosen behaviour, regardless of whether they have a positive attitude.
