• Waist circumference (WC) measurement is recommended for individuals with BMI 25 to < 35 kg/m2
to determine the risk of
cardiovascular disease (CVD), prediabetes, and type 2 diabe- tes. It is not necessary to measure WC in individuals with BMI ≥ 35 because the WC will likely be elevated and it adds no additional risk information.
○ Men: > 102 cm (> 40 in) ○ Women: > 88 cm (> 35 in)
