Waterproof ColleCtion Dr. Martens

Dr. Martens has drawn on over half a century of boot making experience for its industrial range of footwear. Technology has developed considerably over the last few decades but the premise for what is required has remained the same: comfort, protection and durability.

Incorporating style into the equation comes naturally to Dr. Martens and some of its key designs take pointers directly from the fashion lines. The result is a collection of rugged, versatile work boots that combine all the necessary safety elements with authentic Dr. Martens styling for a genuine multi-purpose offering, looking good both in and out of work.

The Dr. Martens Heavy Industry collection has been skilfully crafted to safeguard those who work in the most demanding environments, providing uncompromised footwear protection for the wearer. The Heavy Industry collection includes the: Surge ST, Torrent ST, Turbine ST and Thorpe ST styles.

The styles within the range feature a safety toe cap, which conforms to European Standards, and are: non-metallic, slip and heat resistant, breathable, anti-static, and benefit from a puncture- resistant midsole. The Surge ST, Torrent ST and Turbine ST boots are waterproof, and the Thorpe ST has water-resistant leather uppers.

For enhanced comfort, all boots in the Heavy Industrial collection incorporate a removable cushioned footbed, with antimicrobial cover for breathable comfort and aided odour control.

Women’s Hi-Vis HazardWear Arco

Research highlights that 15% of female construction workers find it extremely difficult to source protective clothing that fits properly. Arco, is the UK’s leading safety company, has worked in consultation with women across the industries to design a range of new safety garments. The result – a collection of practical, stylish Hi-Vis hazardwear that now fits a woman’s body shape properly, whilst delivering a high level of protection to keep them safe at work.

During the research period, customers informed Arco of issues they have experienced with previous Hazardwear garments, Arco designed its new Women’s Hazardwear range to address and diminish these issues.

All garments in the range have additional features added where possible to enhance fit, comfort and style.

The range has been designed to fit the contours of the female body and come in standard women’s sizing, for example 8, 10, and 12, as opposed to the traditional men’s or unisex sizing of S, M and L.

All garments in the range have been tested and approved to meet EN ISO 20471 for high visibility clothing. The women’s Hi-Vis Hazardwear range includes a Hi-Vis jacket, two styles of trousers, a waistcoat, a Hi-Vis soft shell and two options of polo shirt.

Launched this year, the industry’s most comprehensive Hi-Vis collection designed for women debuted on the catwalk at the Safety and Health Expo 2016, also winning the Professional Clothing Award for Best Stock Design.
