The skin, the largest organ of our body, is used to regulate its temperature through perspiration (thermoregulation). On average, our skin contains 155 sweat glands per square centimeter; however, the palm of our hands have 238 per cent more sweat glands per square centimeter than the rest of our body. Combine this with a gloved hand and it explains why sweaty hands remains an age-old problem.

The patented AIRtech® technology platform that provides 360° breathability works in partnership with the AD-APT® Technology. As your hands work they move forcing air out of the close fitting MaxiFlex® glove through the patented structured tunnels within the coating.

Whilst the AD-APT® technology cools the hand to comfortable conditions it does not impact on the natural ability of the body to control its temperature i.e. thermoregulation.

Microguard GUARDIAN24

Guardian 24’s MicroGuard is an exclusive key fob sized device which combines the latest GPS, GPRS and G-sensor technologies, to provide lone workers with an easy to use means to call for help at the touch of a button.

Certified to the British Standard for Lone Worker Device Services (BS 8484), the MicroGuard connects to Guardian24’s dedicated UK Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC); also certified to BS 8484 and BS 5979 (Category II).

Trained ARC Controllers will determine the nature of the situation through GPS location tracking and remote two-way audio streaming. In addition to the SOS button, MicroGuard also features a fall alarm which will automatically raise an alert to the ARC in the event of a slip, trip or fall.

The device also allows the user to leave pre-alert voice messages providing details of their activity and location. These voice messages will be immediately available to the ARC controllers in the event of an alarm, providing vital additional information which can be passed to the emergency responder.

Despite MicroGuard’s small size, the device boasts a battery life of over 200 hours in standby. The device’s flexible design means it can be discreetly worn as pendant, attached to a key ring or belt, or even worn as an identity card holder using an accessory.

Guardian24’s service provides clients with 24/7 access to an online portal which allows administrators to update user information in real-time, and customise the emergency protocols for ARC controllers to follow in emergency situations. VOTE NOW 17
