2015 24 Bermuda:Re/insurance+ILS
What has been the biggest challenge you have encountered?
This is a very demanding industry and it does take up a lot of your time. I always say to my friends that it’s not a 9 to 5 job and you can’t clock out; it’s very demanding and trying to have a life around it is quite challenging.
If you had chosen a different profession/career path, what would it have been?
It would be something outdoors. I’ve also found law very interesting, my profession is accounting and I seem to gravitate towards the contracts and the challenges of it. ■

Why did you choose to work in this industry initially?
At the time I was looking for work, the captive industry was establishing itself here in Bermuda. I landed a job in captive management and that was my introduction to the industry. There were a lot of available options at that time.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
The biggest thing for me is the constant learning that I get from it. The whole industry is always changing and the highlight for me is the continuous learning and not being stuck doing the same thing for years.
