n 2016 three sisters from Blackawton Laura, Charley and Tara Bashford shook hands on
a new venture with the creation of Tipple Trailers - unique mobile bars created from old Horse Trailers. These bars are a great and poplar addition to any wedding, private party or sporting event providing essential and handmade refreshments from a quirky and eyecatching unit . The sisters bought their first
trailer and even with a good set of wheels they knew it needed a lot of work to turn it into a bar. Like all the best plans their’s was scribbled on the back of a napkin with a few drawings and a clear colour scheme in their heads - cream interior and Gin blue exterior. The floor was ripped out to re-
veal a near perfect chassis and with the addition of a new robust trailer floor and a fresh coat of paint the
trailer began to take shape. Local carpenter Tom Holloway designed and fitted the bespoke interior us- ing old and new scaffolding planks and with the new electrics fitted and tested the trailer was ready for its final finishing touches and im- portant naming - The Bombay Bar. With the trailer ready to go Tipple
Trailers attended their first event - a busy wedding fayre in Newton Abbot. This was soon followed by a successful promotional visit to the Buckfastleigh Point to Point.
Many types of Gin will be on offer and they hope the bar will be a fun addition to any event.
The Bombay Bar is well equipped with an essential large cooling unit and a full range of drinks and cock- tails can be served including the all-important wide range of gins
and vodkas. The second tipple trailer, which promises to be much bigger and younger, is soon to roll off the Collaton farm production line. Tipple Trailers are a compact,
eye-catching addition for any wedding, party or charity event. For more information on hiring the Tipple Trailer check our facebook page or
