your weekend of melodic magnificence by purchasing a little memento of your weekend, so get yourselves to the Royal Avenue Gardens and kit yourself out with a T-shirt, trilby and pair of DMF sunglasses to really look the part (and maybe a DMF umbrella if the weather misbehaves!) and not forgetting the limited edition 20th anniversary CD’s (and maybe even a DMF bag to carry it in). This year’s most fabulous must-have accessories are the DMF wristbands – only £20 will buy a gold three day band to show you have supported the event. There will also be individual day bands available for purchase for those who aren’t able to make the full weekend of fun. Show your support and remember, although the music is free to all, it still costs loot to put on and every penny you can put into the pot goes into getting this show on the road. So dig deep and buy, buy, buy while you boogie on down. Of course, all this and I am yet to mention the real star of the show – the town and people of Dartmouth itself. For 20 years our magnificent town has provided us with the perfect backdrop and myriad venues that make Dart Music Festival the unique and exciting adventure that it is. Around every corner you will find superb music in an outstanding setting – blues in Bayards Cove Fort, rock on the Embankment, jazz


in the Market Square, folk in the Guildhall, workshops at the Flavel and hilarious comedy gospel on the Bandstand in the form of Oh My God! It’s The Church. The Festival caters for all tastes and all ages and is riotous fun from start to finish, whether you race round town trying to catch all the bands on your list or simply stake out an island of your own in the Royal Avenue Gardens and let the music wash over you as the sun sets.
