Connecting with the Fairies A guided meditation by Karen Kay
Find yourself a peaceful spot, ideally outside in nature, or inside. Sitting against the trunk of a tree is perfect, you can also imag- ine this if you are not able to get outside. Playing soft music also helps to create a gentle atmosphere, and will encourage the faeries to draw close. Scents also attract faeries, for example, a living fragrant flower, or essential oils etc.

It’s important to ask for protection each time you open yourself up during meditation, so depending on how you wish you do this, you can use your own method, or call in Archangel Michael who is always happy to protect your space. Feeling safe is essential during any meditation work.
Close your eyes and take three long deep breaths.
With each breath you feel a sense of peace, and you feel more relaxed. As you breath out, release any concerns. In your mind, or say out loud: “Faeries, faeries, I am here, if you can hear me please come near”.
Now be still and wait. If you have not worked with faerie energy before, they will scan your energy field first, to make sure your intent and heart is pure and true. The faeries also need to know that they will be safe with you!
Be aware of any subtle changes in your environment. This could be a warm wind, or perhaps an insect flying close to your ear. Faeries also leave bird feathers as a sign of their presence, they can be very creative when leaving signs.
Can you feel, see or hear a fairy? Just be receptive, and be patient, for the faeries go at their own pace, and are not bound by human time or clocks!
Now ask, “If my heart is found to be pure and true, is there anything that I may do for you?”
What’s the first thing that pops into your mind? Perhaps the idea of picking up litter, this makes the faeries very happy as they like to keep the environment litter free. Or maybe you will feel the need to eat organic, raw or vegan food. In your heart you will know the answer to what you need to do next. For when you connect with the faeries, it’s a meeting where both sides must come half way, and meet in the middle.
The faeries may leave you a gift or a message, or in some cases clear instructions. The main thing is to be open and not to have any expectations, for the faeries work in mysterious ways. Remember that you are a visitor in their realm, and as such you should always be respectful, as it is an honour should they choose to connect with you!
Now, give thanks, open your eyes and wriggle your fingers and toes, and the end of your nose! This will help to ground you. A biscuit or piece of fruit is also good too.
I hope you enjoyed this mini journey into fairyland. If you enjoyed this, I do have a few meditaiton CD’s on my website (see below). So, until the next time, take care,
Lots of love Karen 6
