ARTICLE CRYSTALS of the
ARCHANGELS by Hilary Stanley
I met a friend for coffee one Thursday. We had trained as Reiki Practitioners and met up again on another course. On this occasion she asked me if I would like to join her on a Crystal Workshop that she was due to attend that weekend. “But I know nothing about crystals, apart from they’re pretty and I have a few around my home,” I replied. “I’ve been on these workshops before, and they’re really good. It doesn’t matter whether you already know anything or not, come, it’ll be fun,” she reassured me. So I went.
Several people were already gathered when I arrived and I listened to the introduction, wondering if this was right for me. We were asked if any of us had tried automatic writing. I had, in development circle. We were each invited to pick a crystal from a bag and write down any thoughts or connection with our chosen crystal. I looked at mine; a piece of green glass washed up on the beach but rough and bumpy. ‘What on earth am I doing?’ I thought. In the spirit of the workshop, I placed my left hand over the piece of ‘glass’, picked up my pen, closed my eyes and began to write. I let my imagination run wild. Images flooded my mind of explosions, things flying through the air in great dust clouds, crashing into the Earth, and then words came. On reading them back to myself afterwards, I thought, ‘This is where I get asked to leave, or they will call the local mental hospital and have me taken away.’
I waited whilst others gave their accounts; all were very accurate and with fascinating intuition, and then it was my turn. I took a deep breath and read what I had written. There was silence and the couple running the workshop glanced at each other. ‘Oh dear!’ They must think I am bonkers. Without a word, one of them reached for a book and read out the meaning of Moldavite.
‘What??? How had those images and words come from the crystal? I thought it was glass!
Out of all the information and insights into the world of crystals that I learned that day, one thing was clear: I love crystals! They talk to me!
When is the next workshop? Three years later I gained a diploma in Crystal Healing and Energy Work, with the same couple, who became friends and have been among my greatest teachers.
I also attended a year-long course on the Archangels and have found a close connection there too. So here I have chosen to combine my learning and many experiences of both realms. We are all energy, presenting in a variety of forms and appearances, so there is no surprise that they correlate. The toughest part of preparing this article has been offering only one or two crystals, which resonate with individual Archangels, for they are all multi- faceted. So I have written a workshop on this combined subject, as a day to experience their links, and this is merely a taster.
Archangel Jophiel presents us with the opportunity to enjoy learning new things. He assists us in experiencing matters from a different perspective, creating games in order for us to learn with fun, so that we fully understand and remember the lessons they provide.
